The MTSU Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence connects expertise across disciplines to advance research, education, infrastructure and partnerships. The institute helps teams move from important questions to rigorous methods, competitive proposals, trusted results and practical impact.

What we do

• Convene interdisciplinary research teams around high-impact missions.
• Support proposal development, partner formation and research translation.
• Connect researchers with data, software, cloud, GPU and high-performance-computing pathways.
• Advance trustworthy AI through evaluation, explainability, security, privacy and governance.
• Create research experiences, internships, professional learning and workforce pathways.
